El Paso, Texas 79931The Austin High School Alumni Association was formed in 1991 to serve the students of Austin.
Initial purposes:
- Develop a speaker bureau to benefit students
- Help when situations arise within the school
- Provide a scholarship fund for Austin seniors
- Participate in the selection of the outstanding ex-student and help with the expenses of bringing the outstanding ex to the homecoming activities
- Participate in homecoming, be a part of the homecoming assembly
- Distribute a newsletter to alumni association members
Classes of members:
- Austin High School alumni, attended or graduated (voting members)
- Current and former faculty and staff (voting members)
- Spouses of Austin High School alumni (non-voting)
- Friends and patrons of Austin High School (nonvoting)
- Honorary members (nonvoting)
Past years' projects:
- Provided two scholarships to graduating seniors at the end of each school year
- Contributed to Project Celebration
- Provided funds for Journalism, Close-Up, Cross-Country, Football, Wrestling, Girl's Volleyball, Girl's Basketball and other student activity financial needs.
Income:
- Association dues
- Alumni donations
- T-shirt sales
- Girl's volleyball concessions
- Girl's basketball concession
- Gifts from class reunions
Yearly Dues:
- $10.00 - Individual
- $15.00 - Couple
