George moved to El Paso with his
family when he was 14 years old,
where he attended and graduated
from Austin High School. George
married Gloria L. Traettino in
El Paso on June 3, 1961.
He was employed as a telephone
switchman with Southwestern Bell
until his retirement in 1991.
George and his wife Gloria moved
to Ruidoso in 1992. Gloria
preceded him in death in 1995.
George is
survived by his son,
William 'Bill' Watrous
of Ruidoso, his daughter
Grace Nicholson and her
husband Tommy Nicholson
of El Paso, sister
Sherry Ware and her
husband Paul of El Paso,
sister Desta 'Bunny'
Harvey of West Texas,
brother Tommie Lee
Watrous of El Paso,
brother-in-law Leland
DeFord of El Paso,
grandson Tommy Nicholson
of El Paso, and several
beloved nieces and
nephews.
